This is a Tudor silver sixpence of Queen Elizabeth, minted in London in 1575.
Obverse inscription: ELIZABETH : D : G : ANG : FR : ET : HIB : REGI, ( "Elizabeth, by the Grace of God, Queen of England, France and Ireland") Crowned bust left, rose behind, mintmark Eglantine.
Reverse inscription: POSVI DEV' ADIVTOREM MEV ("I have made God my helper") Square topped shield quartered by long cross fourchee dividing legend, date above. 1575.
