A very good early english bronze mortar, with cast motif of four fleur-de-lis and raised double rim....the mortar is in excellent condition with a fine natural patina and comes from a London "unidentified" foundry....it dates to around 1660-70....a really superb example of these very collectable hard to find mortars.

English - London C1660-80.      Purchased from a private collection.
