    This is a small antique mortar and pestle. An English, ceramic and beech apothecary or cookery aid, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

    Pleasingly diminutive, with a tactile finish Displaying a desirable aged patina with minimal signs of use Quality, thick ceramic bowl form with warm natural finish Turned beech handle to pestle presents fine grain interest Engraved to base 'Warranted Acid Proof' and 'Made in England'

    This is a charming small antique mortar and pestle with a pleasingly clean appearance and of petite proportion. As useful today as it was over 100 years ago, or as fine decorative interest upon the work top. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
