    photograph of St Mark's Basilica Venice
    With abalone shell (mother of pearl) highlights
    Italy, Circa 1900
    22.9 cm x 31 cm

    The convex 'domed' glass fixed with a hand-tinted print of St Mark's Basilica Venice and striking reverse painted mount. Highlights on the scene are backed-in with abalone shell strips. Retaining its original venired frame which can stand upright or be fitted to the wall. 

    A very 'high-end' souvenir dating to the Early 20th Century / 1900's.
