Large scale, signed (1938-2018) oil landscape of Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire.
Sitting in a chunky, scraped paint frame.
The castle, which dates back to the 11th century, is a grade I listed building.
Scrase painted for over 60 years and trained under Italian Master Annigoni in Florence in the 1970s, most famously remembered for his two portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, in 1955 and 1969.
Scrase was still painting at his long standing home in Bristol, until 3 months before he passed on 24.05.18.
