Pair of black lacquered pier mirrors with gilt slips

Very decorative pair of English 19th century black lacquered moulded pier mirrors with gilt slips, circa 1880.
Originally, these were picture frames, hence the new mirrors…they have been fitted with mirrored acrylic under their original glass.
Great pair of frames hanging well as a set of two, but also individually flanking a vase or bronze on a console table for example.
