8 Substantial Edwardian Silver-Plated Hotelware Dinner Plates by Elkington & Co

An exceptional, matching set of eight Edwardian silver-plated commercial-grade dinner plates by the legendary British pioneers of electroplating, Elkington & Co.

Struck on the reverse with Elkington's historic maker's marks and their precise date letter code for 1910 (the letter 'Y' in their renowned dating system), this set was manufactured during the historic transitional year marking the end of the Edwardian era.

Crafted as premium hotelware / dining car service, these plates are forged with a heavy-gauge base metal, providing a satisfying, substantial weight in the hand. Designed to withstand the rigours of grand estate or high-end commercial dining, Elkington's hotel plate is celebrated for its exceptionally thick, durable silver layer. With a clean, classic profile and understated rim detailing, this complete set of eight effortlessly bridges the gap between historic Edwardian luxury and contemporary dining tables.

Showing magnificent wear of over 100 years of constant use, but still with bright silver and minimal dents.
