This very desirable and sought after Victorian 9 7/8 " plate is transfer printed in delicious dark chocolate brown with exciting red and gold lustre hand coloring under the glaze.
The pattern features some of the most outrageous looking birds the potteries artist could imagine. A rim of wildly tropical flowers with hummingbirds. The well of the plate has aquatic orchid and cattail type flowers beneath two most unusual and exotic birds. A marvel of the imagination. The pattern displays the Victorian eras love of the exotic.
Great Condition. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. A real beauty !!
