This is an antique decorative charger plate. An English, ceramic hand-painted dish in Art Nouveau taste, from the Victorian period, dated 1884.
Delightfully decorated plate, suitable as a centrepiece or wall mounted
Displays a desirable aged patina - some mounting marks to the reverse
Ceramic in good order with minimal marking to rim and bright appearance
Fabulously hand-painted riverside scene with lily pads and visiting butterflies

Signed with the artist's monogram M.I. and dated 1884 - impressed maker's mark to reverse
