This delightful and rare Victorian 16 3/4 " long x 13 3/8 " wide serving platter is transfer printed in very dark brown.
The pattern features outrageous geometric cartouches and designs of the Victorian era. Spectacular birds and an exotic tropical landscape fill the top half of the platter. Scrolled cartouches feature multitudes of sailing vessels, geometric designs and songbirds. An Owl overlooks the menagerie.
Condition is great. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no wear and no repairs. Very bright and clean.
Rare to find a Victorian aesthetic platter from an American pottery.
