This is a superb example of a Welsh pair case verge from Anglesey . Finding Welsh pocket watches is hard enough but this one bears a Keep Me Clean dial, which in themselves are scarce
The watch has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1822
Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has cylindrical pillars, a fusee chain, a verge escapement and a beautifully pierced and engraved watch cock decorated with a grotesque face.
