This is seal was designed to be used with hot wax for sealing letters.
I have made an impression of this seal using hot wax to show that the seal works as intended and also to give a clearer image of the intaglio.
The wax impression comes in a small plastic case and is included with the seal.
This seal is damaged and has no handle. You are buying the base only, which is reflected in the price
This would have been a small desk seal base
The handle is missing but the collar is still intact and you could make a handle to fit into this
The gilt lozenge shaped metal base has hard to read initials
The base measures 12mm x 11mm
