Victorian DOWNTON ABBEY Style pocket watch chain c1880

I am often being asked to supply pocket watch chains for various films and TV productions and over the past 10 years the production teams and costume department have come up with different ways to wear the chains, making the “look” individual for that production. For those familiar with my site and chains, you may have seen the style of chain used by the Peaky Blinders team – these were ornate pocket watch chains with a much longer U dip between the T bar and the pocket. When we supplied chains for the Downton Abbey team, they went with a different look. They took a double watch chain but extended the length of chain holding the T bar to the other two watch / fob ends; compare any other of my double watch chains to see the difference. This style was particularly favoured by the character of Mr Carson, the head butler.

This gold plated Victorian pocket watch chain is made up of lengths of double round links. It has a length of chain which measures 160mm from the T bar to the point where the chain becomes a double and measures 340mm from the T bar to the dog clip. The other length measures 100mm and has a bolt ring.  The chain measures 5mm wide on the links

The chain is in 95% mint condition
