Unusual White Metal and Enamel Steam Boat chain c1890

This is a very fancy white metal chain. The chain is made up of 6 mesh strand held together at each end by a carved clasp. Hanging from one is an additional length of chain and dog clip. Hanging from the other end is another additional length of chain and bolt ring. The chain has a central slide which is decorated with pierced and carved detailing of an old steamer ship with details highlighted in enamel. The slide is further decorated with tear drop tassles – 2 are missing. The chain measures 270mm x 30mm and is in 85% mint condition – some wear but an attractive chain none the less
