    This is a hunter pocket watch movement – stem wound / pin set.

    The movement does not come with a winder. The movement has a lever to stop and start the balance, present but the wire is missing

    The movement has a good spring and balance and will tick

    Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance. The movement is signed “John Forrest, Maker to the Admiralty, London, 79279” and is in 90% mint condition,

    Dial – the white enamel dial a pair of gilt hands but no centre seconds hand. It is signed “Chronometer maker to the Admiralty, John Forrest, London” and is in 90% mint condition – a few minor hairlines on the edge

    The movement measures 44mm x 9mm
