Gold Stone Set BREGUET pocket watch key c1820

This key is part gold, part gold on metal. It has an internal ratchet allowing it to wind in one direction only, thus preventing damaging fusee watches which can only be wound one way.

The long key has a red glass stone set handle. The gold decoration around this has one part squashed from too much pressure when winding. The rest of the key has a long body with milled detailing and a suspension loop. It has a gold sleeve on a metal winding pipe and is a size 3-4. The key measures 44mm x 8mm and is in 90% mint condition – the handle is dented on one side and there is a tiny tear on the gold sleeve on the winding pipe – all reflected in the low price
