14K gold Rolex pocket watch. Officially Certified Chronometer c1989

This is a genuine Rolex officially certified Chronometer pocket watch made circa 1989 – the serial number has the L prefix which dates it exactly to this date.

Movement – the high quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and the balance is protected by the Rolex patent cap. The movement is signed “Rolex, Geneva, 17 Jewels, adjusted to 7 positions, Rolex Patent Cap protecting escapement, Brevete Francais, SGDG, L 52497, Chronometer, Swiss”. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a solid 14K Gold case, which has a snap on back and a solid bezel. The case is signed “Montres, Rolex, Geneve, SA”. The case has ribbed sides and an elongated teardrop bow. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – light wear only

Dial – the silvered dial has gold coloured baton hands and baton numbers and raised numbers. The dial has a raised Rolex insignia and is signed “Rolex, officially certified Chronometer”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – light marks only

The watch measures 45mm wide x 8.3mm deep
