Rare 16s 23J Illinois Bunn Special 60 Hour Mark III pocket watch c1929

This is one of the rarer Mark III Bunn Special variants. 

It is a particularly fine example as it comes in a 2 tone case and the overall condition of the watch is practically flawless

Movement – this is a superb high quality nickel ¾ plate movement which has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, decorated with ray damascening, red enamel lettering, gold train wheels and raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Sixty Hour, Bunn Special, Illinois Watch Co Springfield, Adjusted Temp & Six positions, Motor Barrel, 23 Jewels” # 5180561. The movement is in 99% mint condition – practically flawless

Case – the movement comes in a superb two tone 14K white and yellow gold filled case signed, Illinois Bunn Special Model 28. The case has a screw on back and bezel with carved edges and has flared shoulders by the bow. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 99% mint condition – the back cover has a mirror finish and the case is one of the finest examples I have ever had for sale

Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois Bunn Special, 23 Jewel 60 Hours”  and is in 100% mint condition.

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 52mm wide x 14mm deep
