Cut steel Georgian crank pocket watch key c1770

This pocket watch key has an oval handle and two hinged segments with milled detailing.  The key hangs straight down when hung off a chain but can bend and form into a pocket watch key with a handle which can rotate a full 360 degrees. The key has turned detailing and is a size 2-3 approx. The key measures 15mm wide across the handle and is 42mm long. 

The key is in 90% mint condition – some marks and pitting which is usual with cut steel of this period.
