This is a rail road grade pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch Company
Movement – the high quality, grade 806, nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement is signed “Sante Fe Special, Illinois Watch Co, Springfield, 21 Jewels, Adjusted to Temperature and positions” 3363551. The movement is decorated with damascening and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is signed “Sante Fe Watch Co”. The case is decorated on the back with an engraved and enamelled name J O Nelson. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – some of the enamel is missing and there are some small scratches and marks
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has continuous minute marks and a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Sante Fe Special, Illinois” and is in 98% mint condition – a short hairline on the 11
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 9.8mm
