About this item
This is a Canadian railroad approved grade pocket watch made by Waltham, USA.
Movement – full plate model 83, nickel movement has a lever escapement and has a micrometer regulator, large gold raised jewel settings and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Made for Canadian Railway Time Service 17 Jewels” # 7453520. The movement is in 90% mint condition – many light marks and scratches which you can see under close inspection with an eye glass
Case – the movement comes in a white metal guaranteed silveroid case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition - a dull case with a light build up of scratches
Dial – the white enamel, double sunk dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “American Waltham Watch Co”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – a hairline on the 10.
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch measures 57mm wide x 22mm deep.
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
