This pocket watch movement was made for an American retailer in Philadelphia. The movement is Swiss and looking at the regulator for identification, it was probably made by Agassiz
The movement is a hunter, stem wound / lever set
The movement has a good balance and spring
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement has a large raised gold jewel setting on the centre. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “C. R Smith & Son, Philadelphia” and is in 90% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of beautiful gilt filigree hands and a gilt sub seconds hand. The dial has gold enamel numerals and detailing. The dial is signed “C R Smith, Philadelphia” and is in 100% mint condition
The movement measures 42.5mm x 8.3mm
