About this item
This is an English silver pocket watch with an English lever movement, a harder to find combination as so often watches of this period had a Swiss or American movement.
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a compensated balance and a lever escapement and is fully jewelled. The movement is numbered 27584 and is in 95% mint condition.
Case – the movement comes in a top quality English silver case, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The inner cover is engraved “Arthur Evans, Fairbourne, 1913-1927”.
The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 90% mint condition – a hairline through the centre and a little forked hairline on the 7-8
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 52mm wide x 14mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
