This is an American pocket watch made by the Elgin Watch Co, USA.
Movement - the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Elgin Natl Watch Co, USA, Adjusted 17 Jewels” # 28833506 and is in 90% mint condition – some light scratches
Case – the movement comes in 14K White Gold filled open face case, which has snap on bezel and a hinged back. The case has a triangular bow complementing the Deco style. The case has engraved detailing on the back and chased edges. The case is in 80% mint condition – externally the case is in excellent condition with one minor bruise but on the inside of the back cover, a previous owner has hand scratched a name. This case is fine for film work and show and personal use but not suitable to present as a gift
Dial – the dial has a stylish gilt number configuration continued in the signature and sub seconds. The dial also has exceptional blue steel hands, all in the Art Deco style. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 95% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 45mm wide x 10mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
