Large Goliath Sized pocket watch 64mm wide c1890

This is a large timepiece which would have been put in a leather or a silver and leather desk case which were normally threefold with the watch slotting into one side and with access to wind the watch from the 6 position

The watch is working and keeping good time but has NOT been cleaned or serviced and is sold with NO Warranty

Movement – gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and signed “Brevete, Sphinx”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – light mars

Case – the movement comes in a white metal case, which has a hinged inner and a screw on bezel – allowing the case to be affixed to a leather case. The case is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 99% mint condition – small marks only

The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.

The watch measures 64mm wide x 17mm dep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
