English silver full hunter pocket watch c1928

This is a Swiss made movement made for the English market. It was sent to England where it was cased and sold in a top quality English silver case with hallmarks for Birmingham 1928

Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with fish scale damascening. The movement is signed “Stayte, Non Magnetic, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made” and is in 95% mint condition – a superb example

Case – the movement comes in a top quality English silver case by Dennison. This example is that bit heavier and better quality than usual with is stamped Special

The case has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover opens a few degrees when you press the winder in and the needs to be lifted to the full 90 degrees. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb example of an English case

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Stayte, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 100% mint condition.

The watch comes in a period leather box lined with velvet and silk
