About this item
This is one of the rarer Bunn Special variants. Type IIP 161A Elinvar.
Movement – this is a superb high quality nickel ¾ plate movement which has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, decorated with circular damascening, black enamel lettering, gold train wheels and raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Elinvar, Bunn Special, Illinois Watch Springfield, 21 Jewels, Adjusted Temp & Six positions, Motor Barrel, 60 Hours, 161A” # 5576747. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a good example
Case – the movement comes in a superb 10K white gold filled case signed “Bunn Special, Model”. The case has a screw on back and bezel with engraved borders front and back. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – light marks and scratches
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 13mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set
