    This pocket watch is an early example of an Illinois pocket watch made in the first 18 months of production. It has a private label movement – the original retailer – and comes in a massive 6 ounce coin silver case. The entire weight of the watch is 244g

    Movement – the early model 1 gilt full plate lever movement is signed “P W Porter, West Middlesex, Pa” # 9510. The movement is in 90% mint condition

    Case – the movement comes in a massive 6 ounce coin silver case. which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees. The case is marked 6 denoting the 6 ounces and is signed “Am Watch Co, Waltham Mass, Warranted, Coin Silver”. The case has engraved decoration on the front and in places on the sides and the case has large gold hinges – always a sign of quality. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition

    Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Illinois Springfield Watch Co”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – 1 tiny hairline between the 3 and 4

    The watch has a mineral glass

    The watch is key wound  / key set and comes with a key

    The watch measures 61mm wide x 21mm deep
