About this item
This pocket watch was made by the Swiss company Zenith and used by the National Serbian railway – Petkovic to Belgrade service
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and 15 Jewels. The movement is signed “Zenith” # 7040522. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The inner cover is decorated with individually engraved miniature medals highlighted in gilt and is signed “Grand Prix Paris 1900, Zenith”.
The back of the case is decorated with engraving depicting the Serbian national crest and also the line number 58. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and an inner 24 hour chapter ring. The dial is signed “Zenith” and also in Cyrillic. The dial is in 98% mint condition – 1 small crack on the dial on the edge by the 9
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 52mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
