About this item
This is a gentleman’s size pocket watch which can be carried but can also be used as a desk watch. The watch was made in Switzerland but retailed by Hamilton & Inches, a retailer pf luxury watches and fine jewellers in Edinburgh since 1866
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement, 7 Jewels and is signed “The Atlas Watch, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the watch has a white metal case which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light surface scratches only; still a good presentable case
Dial – the white enamel dial has bold numerals and blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch comes in its original leather case which has a hinged strut on the back, allowing it to stand upright on a desk. The strut is stamped “By Appointment. Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh”. The case has a hinged front cover and the interior is lined with blue velvet and silk. The box measures 90mm x 80mm x 25mm with a foot print of 90mm when the strut is extended.
The watch measures 55mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a plastic glass. This can be changed on request.
