This watch has a broken balance and is not working. The case is ideally suited for another American KW movement
Movement – the gilt full plate 15 Jewel movement has a lever escapement and is signed “H H Taylor, Elgin, Ill” # 382384. The movement is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a 3 oz coin silver case which has a hinged back and front cover and a hinged metal inner. The front cover WILL pop open to 90 degrees when you press the stem in but this is stiff. The case has a smooth plain finish with a crest on the front cover and is in 80% mint condition – there are several soft bruises on the back and especially on the back cover near the thumbpiece. The back cover will close however
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co”. The dial is in 75% mint condition – light hairlines but damage on the sub seconds.
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch is key wound / key set and comes with an antique key
The watch measures 55mm wide x 17mm deep
