About this item
This is a Swiss pocket watch with an 8 day mainspring and was made circa 1910
This is not a Hebdomas as it is not signed Hebdomas but this style of watch has become synonymous with the brand name no matter who produced it. These watches are notoriously un predictable due to the length of the mainspring. This watch has been cleaned and serviced and is keeping excellent time over a long duration. Under no circumstances must the back cover be removed as the spring would then unfurl and be impossible to put back correctly
Movement – the mainspring cover is signed “Spiral Breguet Levees Visibles, 8 Jours, Ancre, Qualitie Superieure Garantie,”. The cover has some tarnish and marks.
Case – the movement comes in a gunmetal full hunter case, which has a hinged back and front. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has a gilt bezel and bow to add contrast to the dark coloured case. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – small rough marks which are common with gunmetal watches
Dial – the white enamel dial has an exposed balance and regulator and is decorated with silver and gold flowers. The dial has a pair of blue steel hands and is signed “8 Jours, 8 Tage, 8 Days”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 51mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set.
