    About this item

This is a silver pocket watch made by Waltham in a production run of 100 in a total run of 3050. The very rare feature of the watch is the custom made dial made by Josiah Moorhouse.

Movement – the top quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a “tadpole” micrometer regulator, gold train wheels, a gold brigde for the lever and raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Am’n Watch Co, Waltham, Mass” # 3491082. The movement is decorated with damascening and is in 95% mint condition – a superb movement.

Case – the movement comes in a Waltham coin silver case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has coin edged sides and floral engraving on the back with engine turning. The case is in 90% mint condition

Dial – the rare white enamel dial was made by Josiah Moorhouse. It has blue steel hands and serpentine numbers and discreet scroll detailing either side of the subsidiary seconds. The dial is signed “George H Cushman, Waltham, Mass” and is in 85% mint condition – there are two deep scratches on the 9 and 11.
