    About this item

This is a Swiss silver pocket watch with an alarm function.

Even though I have been dealing with watches for over 30 years, I still can come across a watch I have not seen before.

This is watch has a winding and setting mechanism operated by the winder and button. To set the alarm, you must push the button in repeatedly moving the pointer on the alarm dial in increments of 15 in a counter clockwise direction. The winding and setting is all on one winder which has three settings. All the way in winds the watch, half way up turns the watch on and full up, sets the hands but this does take some practice and patience to get the hang of and is probably the reason I have never seen one of these watches before unlike the supremely practical and well made examples by Zenith

Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement and a single hammer alarm striking on the inner gongs. The movement is signed “Swiss Park W Co, 15 Jewels, 2 Adj” The movement is in 85% mint condition – some cloudy stains and small marks

Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, signed “Park Watch Co, Swiss”. The hinged back cover has a straight line lip so that when the back cover is open it allows the watch to stand upright on a desk and not rock. The case is decorated with engine turning on the back, smooth plain finish on the sides and is in 95% mint condition

Dial – the white enamel dial has an alarm dial under the 12 and old luminous hands. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has its original mineral glass which does have some scratches and can be changed on request

The watch measures 46mm wide x 12mm deep

The watch is stem wound / stem set
