    About this item

This a very rare double sided pocket watch which has a map reader, chronograph and compass function

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a start, stop fly back and reset chronograph function on the read. The movement is in 95% mint condition

Case – the movement comes in a silver case, which has a snap on front and back glass bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is number 2417 on the back bezel.

Under the 6 position is a slightly protruding wheel which is for the map reader function on the front dial.

The winder is set with a compass

The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition

Dials – the back white enamel dial has blue steel hands for a start, stop, fly back and reset chronograph function. The dial is one of the more unusual dials I have seen with many different chapter rings, in red, blue and pink enamel. The dial is marked “Phonotelemetre – tachymetre, Thouvenin”. This dial is in 95% mint condition – 1 small chip on the very edge, hidden by the bezel. The front white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and a map reading layout, again with many different chapter rings. The dial also has a gilt centre hand which moves when the wheel at the 6 is rolled on a map. The dial is signed “Curvimetre International. A Francois, 95 Faub St Martin, Paris”. The dial is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 52mm wide x 20mm deep

The watch is stem wound / pin set
