Half Hunter Pocket Watch
A silver JW Benson Ludgate hill top wind half hunter pocket watch, hallmarked for Silver London 1899, made in England.
DIAL: The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued double spade hands and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six. The dial is signed: "J.W. Benson, London". The protective original glass is in great condition.
Movement: The anchor lever movement has blued screws. The frosted movement has a ¾ plate and is signed: “The Keyless Ludgate Watch, J.W. BENSON, BEST LONDON MAKE, By Warrant to H.M. The Queen, LUDGATE HILL, London” and numbered: N774142. The movement is in good working condition; however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch.
Case: The watch lies in a silver case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is stamped JW Benson and hallmarked for Silver London 1899. The front of the half hunter silver case and blue enamel Roman numerals.
