The case made by Benson has assay marks for 18K and hallmarks for London 1922

Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance and is fully jewelled. The movement is signed “J W Benson, Best London Make, By Warrant to HM The Queen, 62 & 64 Ludgate Hill, London, K 2887”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – cloudy patches and one case screw has been replaced

Case – the movement comes in a top quality slim profile 18K Half hunter case by JW Benson. The case has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case has pronounced shoulders around the pin setting for the hands. The case has a dark blue enamel chapter ring. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb case
