This is a Swiss pocket watch made circa 1890
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is in 95% mint condition.
Case – the movement comes in a metal hunter case, which has a hinged back and front – the front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. Inside the movement is protected by a metal bezel with a glass cover over the movement.
The front cover is engraved with a small steam train. Around this are the words “Railway Regulator, John Barrel”. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a clean case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of thick blue steel hands and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 53mm wide x 17mm deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
