Most of the watches in my “Watches for restoration section” were purchased with a view to clean and service them and list them in my main section. However, when I inspect a watch if I find one or two faults then I list them here and this watch is one of those examples

This pocket watch has a balance but the spring is slipping. The watch will tick for a short while only.

Movement – the nickel full plate Model 1892 movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with damascening. The movement features raised gld jewel settings, is signed “Appleton Tracy & Co, Waltham, Mass, 17 Jewels” # 7005977. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a beautiful movement

Case – the movement comes in a white metal silveroid open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a superb case

Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk, has a full set of filigree blue steel hands and is signed “American Waltham Watch Co”. The dial is in 100% mint condition – a tiny hairline on the 12 and some tiny nibbles on the edge of the dial near the lever

The watch has a thick bevelled mineral glass

The watch measures 58mm wide x 19mm deep

The watch is stem wound / lever set
