An attractive original vintage poster for a French sailing regatta. The "Régates du Bois de la Chaise" is one of the most important traditional sailing events on the Atlantic Coast of France. It takes place at Noirmoutier each year, over three days in late summer. The artist Jean-Claude Duteil (b.1950) is a leading contemporary French painter working in a traditional Impressionist style. He specialises in marine and coastal landscapes pictures, particularly following in the tradition of Boudin and Monet.
