About this item
This First period Worcester porcelain tea bowl & saucer is decorated with the hand painted blue and white "Prunus Root" pattern. This was a popular pattern that ran from 1752 through to around 1780. The tea bowl has a diameter of 70 mm (2.75 inches) and stands 38 mm (1.5 inches) high, whilst the saucer measures 121 mm (4.75 inches) in diameter and stands 26 mm (1 inch) high. There is a tiny chip to the inside of the footrim of the saucer, otherwise both pieces are in very good condition. It would date from around 1770.
