The title beneath the image, along with the publication lines "Printed for & sold by Carington Bowles // No. 69 St. Paul's Church Yard, London" / '406' // "Published as the act directs 1 May 1793 ~" Originally conceived as a humorous counterpoint to another print "The Discord of Matrimony".
Scarce. Carington Bowles died in 1793 and a single undated version of this print is located in the British Museum with publication line amended to "Printed for & Sold by Bowles & Carver. No.69 St. Paul's Church Yard, London." [see BM 1935,0522.2.124.c]
