Lithograph from the 1800's of Poesy /Poetry one of four tondos/roundels from the Vatican. These are smaller than the original in a gilt mount and frame with grubby glass hence looking dull. Frame 47 cm square. Roundel 36 cm across with some hand colour. The original oil painting for this is in the Vatican Museums, Vatican City
Poetry is a fresco ( original diameter 180 cm) by Raffaello Sanzio, datable to 1508 and forming part of the decoration of the vault of the Stanza della Segnatura in the Vatican Museums., framed and glazed, Raphael Sanzio d’Urbino (1483-1520) (after) Bernardino Nocchi (1741-1812) (intermediary draftsman) Raphael Morghen (1758-1833) (engraver)
Much of the cost is post + packing so way cheaper at the shop in Tisbury
