The sheet measures 26.5 cms. x 20.5 cms. and is inscribed in pencil lower left - 'Catalogue No. 35' and 'The big grotto' (sic)
and lower right - 'Print No. 2'
The Big Grotto is part of a delightful group of etchings from 1906 prepared for the first exhibition of John's etchings held in May 1906 at The Chenil Gallery, London
