Antique 18th century mezzotint portrait of Actor, Theatre Manager and Playwright David Garrick (1717-1779).
"Reddere Personae scit convenientia cuique" (Garrick "between Tragedy and Comedy" print created by Edward Fisher (1722-1785) after Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792). Created c. 1762.
Date appears far right in lower margin. Engraved John Boydell.
"Price 10/6". "Sold by Edwd. Fisher, at the Golden Head the South Side of Leicester Square, John Boydell Engraver, at the Unicorn, in Cheapside, and E. Bakewell, & H. Parker, PrintSellers in Cornhill, opposite Birchin Lane, London".
The overall item measures 43 x 50.3 cm, there is 2cm tear on upper left edge. No margins other than title margin to lower edge.
That lower margin containing inscriptions and titles can be seen in the photos as marked, worn etc. May be tube rolled in a wide tube for safe shipping.
