A pair of original early Victorian, 19th Century hand-coloured prints depicting hunting scenes. Lettered beneath the images with the titles "FULL CRY" and "THE DEATH", "Drawn & Etchd by Alkin" [sic], "London, 1841, Published by I.W. Laird, 1, Leadenhall Street"
Henry Thomas Alken was a highly regarded sporting painter from a large and distinguished family of sporting artists. The original prints here, drawn and etched by the artist, are in attractively toned and very desirable 'country house' condition.
