This is a long vintage country house dining table. An English, oak high quality 8 seater kitchen or refectory table by Brights of Nettlebed, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.
Wonderful revival taste by the renowned furniture craftsmen of Brights Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays Inviting warm caramel hues beam beneath the wax polish finish At 7' 8" in length, the table offering comfortable seating for 8 diners Bracketed plank top with stout cleated ends crafted at a thickness of 4.5cm (1.75'') Beneath the carved apron accentuated with chased Gothic taste, a kneehole height of 58.5cm (23'') Bold shoulders enclose the apron and adorned with shaped brackets Raised upon broad block feet with turned legs, united by a substantial stretcher rail Maker's label for Brights of Nettlebed to the underside, with serial numberThis is an exceptional vintage country house dining table, with superb craftsmanship as to be expected from Brights of Nettlebed.
