    About this item

This is an ancient Hellenistic Greek bronze signet ring, dating from the 3rd - 1st century BC. It has a pointed oval bezel, cut with a device of a stag or more likely a representation of the Ceryneian hind that was one of the labours of Hercules. The hind is well cut, very artistic and as with Greek intaglios fills the bezel. It has a nice patina and is in very good excavated condition. Very interesting and RARE!
