    This is a nice Norman period gold finger ring, dating to the 11th - 12th century. It is decorated with a raised box bezel, set with a turquoise blue glass gemstone, the bezel is further embellished with four granules and engraved decoration. The ring is intact and excavated. A nice wearable ring from the period of William the Conqueror and the Angevin's.
