    About this item

This is a nice Renaissance silver-gilt finger ring, dating to the 16th century. The ring is set with a magical coral gem thought to detect poisons and prevent riders from falling from horses. The bezel is scalloped and rubbed over the gem (which is still intact and without movement). A nice and original Tudor period finger ring, in good wearable condition!
